![]() | Roger Ressmeyer, CEO & Founder. An industry veteran, Ressmeyer has held senior management positions at both Getty Images and Corbis Corp., Bill Gates' privately-owned image archive. As Getty Images' VP of Strategy & Corporate Development, he put together their Image Partner program, created the Photographer's Choice brand and in 2001 negotiated the company's artist contract with the Stock Artists Alliance. Prior to these corporate positions, Ressmeyer was a National Geographic and Time/Life assignment photographer specializing in space, high tech, medicine and the physical sciences. Earlier in his career, he photographed hundreds of rock stars, writers, politicians and business leaders for book jackets, record albums and dozens of major publications including Smithsonian, Geo, Stern, Paris Match, Newsweek, People and Rolling Stone. He owned and operated the Starlight Photo Agency for 14 years until July 1995, when it became Corbis' first major acquisition. Ressmeyer is a graduate of Yale University and a winner of first place POY (Pictures of the Year) and World Press Photo awards. He is the author of several books including Space Places, is one of Canon's renowned "Explorers of Light", and is a former president of PACA, the Picture Archive Council of America. ![]() | Charlie Sliwoski, Vice President, Editing and Production. Charlie has over a dozen years of high end digital imaging and production experience. He has held management positions at various Internet startups in the imaging space, most recently as Director of Media and Production at GalleryPlayer. While there he was in charge of the departments responsible for producing DVDs, high definition video for broadcast on Comcast and other carriers and setting up the production process for thousands of high resolution images. From 1995 to 2000, Sliwoski was the Imaging Manager at Corbis, a privately held Bill Gates company. At the company's Bellevue, WA headquarters, he was instrumental in building and overseeing the scanning, archiving and image processing of one of the world's largest digital archives. Among other things, Sliwoski implemented worldwide standards and procedures for the high volume digital production facility. He first met Roger Ressmeyer at Corbis where they worked together on the award winning NASA and National Geographic book and imaging project ORBIT. He also has extensive pre-press experience and has done web development for numerous clients. Charlie has trained at the Heidelberg Academy in Atlanta on scanning and digital imaging, has a management degree and is a Microsoft Certified Professional. | |||||
